For Young Adults & Teens

Feel Less Stuck in Your Head and More Like Yourself Again

It’s exhausting when your mind won’t slow down.

You replay conversations, second-guess your decisions, and wonder why everything feels harder for you than it seems to for everyone else. Maybe your confidence has taken a hit, or you feel like you’re constantly trying to keep up while quietly questioning yourself the whole time.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to start feeling better.

In therapy, we’ll create a space where you can be honest about what’s actually going on – the overthinking, the self-doubt, the pressure, all of it. Together, we’ll sort through what’s underneath those patterns and find ways to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of your life.

Over time, things can start to feel different. Your thoughts don’t feel as loud. Decisions feel clearer. You trust yourself more. And instead of just getting through each day, you begin to feel more like yourself again.

For Parents of Teens & Children

Helping Your Child Feel Calm, Confident, and Truly Themselves

You know your child better than anyone — and lately, something feels off.

Maybe they’re more anxious than usual, melting down over things that didn’t used to bother them, or shutting down when you try to talk. Maybe their confidence has changed, or they’re struggling with friendships, school, or big emotions they don’t know how to handle.

It’s hard to watch your child struggle and not know how to help.

Therapy gives your child a space that’s just for them — where they can feel safe, understood, and supported as they work through what’s going on inside. At the same time, you won’t be left guessing. We’ll work together to help you better understand what your child is experiencing and how to support them at home.

With the right support, kids start to open up again. They feel more secure, more confident, and better able to handle their emotions. You may start to see more of them again — the parts that felt buried under anxiety, frustration, or self-doubt.

And that shift doesn’t just help your child — it brings more calm and connection back into your whole family.

Why Young Adults and Parents Choose to Work With Me

What sets my work apart is the way I build real, authentic connections. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly, which makes it easier to open up and actually make progress.

What You'll Get With Me

When you or your child comes to therapy with me, you’ll find a space that feels warm, relaxed, and easy to step into.

I connect quickly with kids, teens, and young adults, helping them feel comfortable enough to open up without feeling pressured. I bring a real-world understanding from years of working closely with young people through coaching and caregiving, so I know how overwhelming school, friendships, and expectations can feel.

In our work together, clients often begin to trust themselves more. They learn how to quiet the constant overthinking, feel more confident in their decisions, and handle challenges without feeling completely overwhelmed.

Parents often notice their child becoming more open, more emotionally aware, and better able to communicate what they’re feeling.

What You Won't Get With Me

You won’t get a cold, clinical environment where it feels hard to talk.

You also won’t get one-size-fits-all advice that doesn’t actually apply to real life. Every client is different, and I take the time to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface before jumping into solutions.

For parents, you won’t be left out of the process or unsure of what’s happening. I work to create a supportive experience that helps both you and your child feel more confident moving forward.

Most importantly, you won’t be expected to have everything figured out before starting. Therapy is a place to explore, learn, and grow at your own pace.

Why You Should Work With Me

Many of the clients I work with are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or relationship challenges that are starting to impact daily life.

What sets my work apart is the way I build real, authentic connections. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly, which makes it easier to open up and actually make progress. I meet clients where they are, while also helping them gently grow beyond the patterns that are keeping them stuck.

If you’re looking for a therapist who feels approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping you or your child feel better, we may be a great fit.

Meet Tux đŸŸ

My virtual therapy dog, Tux, is sometimes part of the experience too.

Tux adds a light, comforting presence to sessions – especially for younger clients – and helps make therapy feel a little more relaxed and approachable.

Working With Me

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are – no pressure to have the “right” words or all the answers.

I focus on building genuine, comfortable connections so you feel safe opening up at your own pace. In our sessions, we’ll talk through what’s been weighing on you, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and find ways to help things feel more manageable in your day-to-day life.

I use a mix of person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which means we’ll not only talk things through, but also learn practical tools to help you handle anxiety, challenge negative thoughts, and build confidence in a way that actually sticks.

My goal is simple: to help you start feeling lighter, more confident, and more like yourself again.

My Background – And Fun Facts!

I am a Graduate Student Therapist currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University and working toward LPC licensure in Virginia. I am supervised under Kim Rippy, LPC, and Kaitlyn Steel, LMFT. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Rehabilitation and Human Services, from Penn State.

I work with clients navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, and relationship stress, with a special focus on supporting kids, teens, and young adults as they grow and figure out who they are.

My work is grounded in person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This means I focus on creating a supportive relationship while also helping clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors — and learn how to shift patterns that aren’t serving them.

Outside of therapy, I love reading, traveling, spending time with friends, and trying new restaurants — I’m always on the hunt for a great food spot. I try to bring that same curiosity and warmth into my work, helping clients feel comfortable and supported as they grow.
