Today’s world can bring about stressors to the strongest of people, but I believe everyone is resilient enough to handle what life brings their way. My expertise is working with adolescents, young adults, and adults managing issues of: depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma, loss & grief, relationship issues, and family conflict. Additionally, I have experience working with intelligent, bright, driven individuals of all ages.
I use an assortment of therapeutic techniques based on the presenting client needs. I believe in an integrative approach to counseling services incorporating our mind and body to process and work through our current situations. The past is important; it is my approach to understand how a person’s past is affecting their present.
Choosing to identify what isn’t functional in our lives is a powerful step. This is a place to explore what’s not working, understanding why it’s not working and establishing options for change. Let’s work together to set realistic and collaborative goals to address your needs.
My Education
Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University
Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology from University of New Haven
As a supervisor, I operate primarily with a person of the therapist model. I believe that supervision needs to be a safe space to develop your counseling techniques, process any client and/or personal struggles you may be experiencing, and honing in on your theoretical approach.
My goal is to help you navigate any ethical dilemmas, better understand your responsibilities as a mental health therapist, and set healthy boundaries with clients as well as with yourself. Supervision is the place to self-reflect on your professional identity and how that will incorporate itself into sessions.
I’m here to support with documentation, ethical dilemmas, and help you understand your strengths, as well as areas to better develop to bring forth your best self in your sessions.
