Sofia Shahid holds a Doctorate degree in Health Science and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. With a fervent dedication to aiding adolescents and their families, she is committed to facilitating their journey toward realizing their fullest potential. Employing evidence-based methodologies such as motivation enhancement, positive self-talk, communication strategies, and a spectrum of therapeutic modalities including play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical therapy, narrative therapy, and role-playing, Sofia fosters an environment conducive to exploration and personal growth.

Sofia's mission extends beyond the therapy room as she endeavors to empower young individuals in navigating life's challenges and cultivating a resilient foundation of positive mental health. Specializing in addressing various concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger management, emotion identification, trauma and PTSD, sexuality and identity issues, suicidal ideation, substance use disorders, and related mental health issues, she provides tailored support to each individual she serves.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Sofia finds joy in exploring new destinations, experiencing diverse cuisines, and spending quality time with her beloved canine companions.
