About Sofia: (she/her/hers)
Sofia Shahid received her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and is currently completing her Doctorate degree in Health Science with concentration on Mental Health.
Sofia enjoys and is passionate about helping individuals and their families overcome their obstacles and reach their best potential self by motivation, positive self-talk, communication, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical therapy, narrative, role play etc. She utilizes these evidence based approaches to create a safe space for exploration and growth. She is also committed to empowering young minds to navigate challenges and build a foundation for positive mental health.
Sofia works with young adults, teens and children of all ages that struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger management, identifying emotions, trauma and PTSD, sexuality and identity issues and other related mental health issues.
In her free time, Sofia enjoys learning new games, traveling and playing with her dogs.
