We offer both Individual and Group Supervision free for our Keystone Therapists.
Counseling Residency
Clinical Supervision is offered to Virginia Residents in Counseling, and only begin to accrue once approved by the Board. Supervision is open to residents working at other practices/locations, but is prioritized to residents who work for Keystone. Group supervision is offered as group members are available. Session fees vary depending on a number of factors detailed in our supervision contract.
At Keystone, Residents are encouraged to work with diverse populations to develop their counseling skills, including individuals, couples, families, groups, multiculturally diverse and LGBTQIA+. Appropriate supervision is provided by supervisors with applicable training in clients’ presenting issues.

Counseling Student Internships
Counseling Students receive a minimum of one supervision hour per week with an approved clinical supervisor, and attend regular consultation groups with all Keystone therapists. Students will provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents with a variety of presenting issues. Students will work with diverse populations, including members of multicultural and LGBTQIA+ communities. Students will work with children, couples, families, and groups as available.
If you would like to apply for a master’s level student placement, please submit your university’s practicum/internship contract, resume, and two letters of recommendation to [email protected]. Applications are due no later than 60 days prior to the practicum/internship start date. Placements must be a minimum of two semesters. Applicants must have previous clinical experience.
