About Julia: (she/her/hers)
I am a licensed Resident in Marriage and Family therapy. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from the College of William and Mary and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of South Carolina.
While working on my Master’s, I had the opportunity to work for the Youth and Family Services division of my local Community Services Board as well as William and Mary’s student-run community family counseling clinic. I have experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups. These experiences solidified my passion for working with a diverse population of families and individuals. I have experience working with Military families, LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and adolescents.
I work from a Systemic Family perspective as well as taking a Person-Centered and Trauma-Informed approach. I believe that when a family is facing challenges, every individual in the family can do their part to be a part of the solution. I know that with the right tools and strategies, families can overcome even the most difficult situations.
I am originally from South Jersey and now call NOVA home since finishing graduate school.
